Like a double shot of espresso - or cortadito - Carolina's energy is unmistakeable. Never one to turn down an opportunity to hop on a plane, attend a last-minute black tie gala or whip up a dinner party for 20; this global citizen has mastered the art of collecting memories, not things.
Rooted in a lifelong love of travel and design, Carolina works at the intersection of culture, hospitality, and place. She advises founders and brands across real estate, travel, art, and health + wellness—guiding positioning, partnerships, and expansion, and shaping stories and experiences with clarity, intention, and cultural intelligence.
The born and bred Miami girl relocated to Cape Town in 2018 to launch the first Design Hotel™ Gorgeous George, and since then shifted her focus to launching and advising brands across Africa and the Middle East all while keeping one foot firmly planted in the U.S. and her heart in Miami.
In 2020, she co-founded Happy Go Lucky , a creative studio launched to complement her advisory work and bridge the space between brand strategy, communications, and guest experience. The studio delivers creative direction spanning interior concepts, sourcing and procurement, and styling and staging. To date, Happy Go Lucky has opened a number of award-winning hotels across the Middle East, Africa and Saudi Arabia including the first hotel to open in the Ashar valley, Habitas Alula .
When she's not connecting the dots with brands + people Carolina is also a freelance writer, and voice behind LaCarolinda Loves , a substack chronicling her personal “little black book” of all her travel faves.
Her writing has appeared across leading travel and lifestyle platforms including YOLO Journal, A Hotel Life, Suitcase Magazine, and Fathom.
Carolina holds a postgraduate degree in Global Luxury Marketing from New York University and a B.A. in Mass Communications from Florida International University. Born and raised in Miami with Colombian heritage, she works internationally and is fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian.
CRH Collective specializes in advising brands expanding into the Middle East and Africa.
